Usaba Dodol

Every year in Selat, Karangasem Regency, Bali, a traditional ceremony called Usaba Dodol takes place. In this ceremony, you can witness a giant-sized dodol weighing between 150 to 200 kilograms. Usaba dodol is held annually during Sasih Tilem Kesanga, or a few days before Nyepi. This traditional ceremony is an expression of gratitude to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, the creator.
