Ngerobok Festival, Kerobokan Bali

If you're strolling through the enchanting Kerobokan area of Bali during the Galungan and Kuningan celebration—a joyous event marking the triumph of Dharma (Good) over Adharma (Evil) in Balinese Hinduism—you can't help but stumble upon these exquisite penjors beautifully depicted on this wall. Crafted with finesse, these captivating penjors are the handiwork of local Balinese artisans at Lan Puseh Temple in Kerobokan Village, dedicated to preserving cultural heritage in penjor making through the Ngerobok Festival. Organized by the yowana (Balinese youth) since 2018, this festival adds a contemporary flair to the age-old art of penjor-making.
